After a very busy season for both ourselves and Summit Mountaineering, for 2012 we will be offering an additional package consisting of canoeing and guided walks in the beautiful Wye Valley.

Symonds Yat is not only a Mecca for paddlers, it also has some of the most magnificent limestone cliffs in the Wye Valley with views to match.

These cliffs are particularly well suited to those new to the sport and their expert instructors will open up the area and a whole new world of vertical possibilities to you. The best thing is you don't have to be a fitness guru to do it; of course, if you want to pretend, that's fine!

SUMMIT MOUNTAINEERING's instructors are nationally qualified, insured and provide all safety equipment.

Canadian Canoeing & Rock Climbing sessions

A very popular course, aimed at those with little or no experience of climbing and abseiling. A safe taste of the sport, with as much or as little technical instruction as required; Ideal for families, groups and parties. We'll have you climbing your way up some local classics and then hanging in space as you abseil back down them! All under the supervision of nationally qualified instructors.

Canadian Canoeing and Guided Walks

If you'd like something a little less adventurous then why not join us on a guided walk of the Symonds Yat valley? We have huge limestone caverns, Roman mines, ancient ruins, swinging footbridges over the river, hand ferries, bats, adders, wild boar, kingfishers and much much more all within a stone's throw of our Symonds Yat base. We also have some very knowledgeable and experienced Walk Leaders who will bring the forest and river alive, in away you've never seen before!
